Heart valve Surgery's hidden effects on artery tests revealed
NCT ID NCT04420325
Summary
This study aimed to understand how replacing a narrowed aortic valve affects measurements of blockages in heart arteries. Researchers followed 116 patients with both valve disease and artery blockages, taking detailed blood flow measurements before surgery, right after, and six months later. The goal was to help doctors better decide when to treat artery blockages in patients needing valve surgery.
