New computer model could help predict heart surgery risks
NCT ID NCT06812624
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at 485 patients who had coronary artery bypass surgery to see if a computer method called fuzzy logic could better predict who might die after the operation. Fuzzy logic mimics human reasoning to handle uncertain information, like a doctor's experience. The goal was to create a risk model that helps identify high-risk patients early, so doctors can take extra precautions.
