Does donating a kidney hurt your heart? massive study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT07431515
Summary
This study aims to understand the long-term heart health and survival of people who donate a kidney. Researchers will compare health records of 50,000 living kidney donors in Canada to a carefully matched group of healthy people who did not donate. The goal is to see if donors have a different risk of heart attacks, strokes, or death over many years to help future donors make informed decisions.
