Can a pill make your arteries more flexible?
NCT ID NCT02584439
Summary
This study tested whether lowering heart rate with a medication called ivabradine could improve the flexibility and health of arteries in healthy people. It involved 30 healthy volunteers aged 25-65 who took either the drug or a placebo for 8 days. Researchers measured changes in artery properties to understand if slowing the heart rate could benefit blood vessel function, especially as people age.
