Heart pacing showdown: which method works best?
NCT ID NCT01260402
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested two different methods of pacing the left side of the heart in people with severe heart failure. The goal was to see if pacing from inside the heart (endocardial) works better than the usual method from outside (epicardial). Only 6 adults took part, and the focus was on immediate heart function improvements. This was a small, early-stage comparison to gather information, not a large treatment trial.
