Tiny heart monitor seeks hidden danger in valve patients

Summary
This study aims to find out how common hidden, symptomless irregular heartbeats are in people with a significant leak in their mitral heart valve. Researchers will implant a small heart monitor under the skin of 100 participants and track their heart rhythm for up to three years. The goal is to see if finding these hidden irregular heartbeats is linked to a higher risk of heart problems or the need for future surgery.
