New heart scan could improve care for children with rare heart defect
NCT ID NCT05262907
Summary
This study is testing a new 3D ultrasound imaging technique to better measure heart size and function in children and young adults born with only one working heart pumping chamber. Researchers will compare this new method against the current gold standard, cardiac MRI, to see if it provides equally accurate measurements. The goal is to develop a more accessible and convenient way to monitor these patients' heart health over time.
