Could a common heart pill stop HIV-Related heart disease?

NCT ID NCT04153136

Summary

This study tested whether a medication called sacubitril/valsartan could prevent early heart failure in people with well-controlled HIV. Thirty-nine participants with early signs of heart changes but no history of heart disease took the drug or a placebo for six months. Researchers used heart scans and blood tests to see if the medication could reduce inflammation and improve heart health.
