Summary

This completed Phase 2 trial tested whether the experimental drug tovinontrine could help control heart failure in patients whose hearts pump normally but still struggle. The study involved 303 adults with chronic heart failure symptoms who received either the drug or a placebo for 12 weeks. Researchers measured changes in blood markers of heart stress, patient-reported symptoms, and safety to see if the drug was effective and well-tolerated.
