New hope for stiff hearts: can a common pill reverse scarring?

NCT ID NCT06536309

Summary

This study aims to see if a medication called sacubitril/valsartan can reduce harmful scarring (fibrosis) inside the heart muscle of people with a specific type of heart failure. Researchers will compare it to another standard medication using heart MRI scans to measure changes in scarring over one year. The goal is to understand if this drug works by directly improving the heart's structure, which could help identify which patients benefit most.
