New heart device aims to cut hospital stays and deaths in heart failure patients

Summary

This study looks at whether a special heart device called cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) can help people with heart failure live longer and avoid hospital stays. About 4,200 people with advanced heart failure will either get the device or standard care. The goal is to see if the device improves survival and reduces heart-related hospital visits.
