Summary
This study looked at whether a specific mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (mRNA-1273.712) causes a rise in a heart enzyme called troponin in healthy people aged 12 to 30. About 1000 participants received either the vaccine or a placebo, and their troponin levels were measured at several time points. The goal was to see if the vaccine affects the heart, but the results were limited because only one person had a high troponin level before the injection, and factors like exercise can also affect it.
