NCT ID NCT07083089

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at hearing problems in people with early-stage Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease compared to healthy older adults. Researchers want to find out how common certain types of hearing loss are, especially trouble understanding speech in noisy places even when standard hearing tests are normal. The goal is to better understand links between hearing and brain health, which could lead to earlier detection or new treatments in the future. About 309 people aged 50-85 who speak French will take part.
