Can free healthy meals and group support fight heart disease in High-Risk communities?

NCT ID NCT06460272

Summary

This study tested whether providing free, healthy meals designed for medical conditions, with or without weekly group health sessions, could help people manage high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity. It involved 75 Black adults from a Cleveland community with high rates of heart disease. The main goal was to see if people would sign up, stay in the program, and find it helpful, while also checking for changes in weight and blood sugar.
