Community groups help deaf adults fight obesity

Summary

This study tested how well community organizations could run a healthy lifestyle program for Deaf adults who use American Sign Language. Researchers worked with 85 adults in New York to see if local groups could successfully lead the program, which focused on diet and exercise. The goal was to make this proven program more widely available and sustainable in the Deaf community.
