Summary

This study tested a 6-month home program for 7-10 year olds in rural areas to encourage healthy eating and physical activity, aiming to lower type 2 diabetes risk. 72 children took part, with some receiving activity packs, health coach calls, and a resource toolbox, while others got STEM activity packs and check-in calls. The program measured changes in diet, fruit/vegetable intake, and physical activity.
