First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tested a friendly healthbot designed to help people remember to take their smoking cessation medication (varenicline). Researchers interviewed smokers and healthcare providers to understand challenges, then built a chatbot. 40 participants used the bot for 12 weeks, and the team measured how acceptable, usable, and helpful it was for improving medication adherence and quitting smoking.
