First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study had two parts. First, researchers held focus groups with Arab women in East Jerusalem to understand their health literacy needs. Then, they tested a 4-session workshop designed to improve how these women communicate with their doctors and learn about heart disease. About 306 women took part, and the study measured changes in knowledge and confidence before and after the workshop.
