NCT ID NCT07375680

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study checks if long-term blood sugar levels (HbA1c) are linked to how fast the stomach empties before surgery. About 134 adults having planned surgery will get a stomach ultrasound after fasting. The goal is to see if poor blood sugar control raises the risk of stomach contents entering the lungs during anesthesia, which could help doctors personalize care.
