First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at two methods doctors use to help patients breathe during a cardiac arrest (when the heart stops). One method uses a tube placed in the windpipe, the other uses a mask-like device in the throat. The goal is to see which approach helps patients survive longer without needing a breathing machine. About 1,060 adults who have a cardiac arrest in the hospital will take part.
