Teens' grip strength under the microscope: new study sets benchmarks
NCT ID NCT07408986
First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested 50 healthy adolescents aged 15-16 to find normal handgrip strength values using a digital device. Participants squeezed a handheld dynamometer as hard as they could, and some repeated the test after 1-2 weeks to check consistency. The goal is to create reference data that could help doctors assess muscle health in other groups in the future.
