New pill tested to fight deadly lung scarring

NCT ID NCT06325696

Summary

This study is testing an oral drug called H01 (hymecromone) in adults with progressive interstitial lung disease, a condition that causes scarring and thickening of lung tissue. The main goal is to see if H01 can reduce levels of a substance called hyaluronan in the blood, which is linked to the disease process. Researchers will also check the drug's safety and see if it helps improve lung function, walking ability, and quality of life over a 12-week treatment period.
