Can your own blood help your jawbone heal better after a tooth extraction?
NCT ID NCT07011303
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a substance made from a patient's own blood, called Horizontal Platelet Rich Fibrin (H-PRF), can help the jawbone heal better after a tooth is pulled. The goal is to create stronger bone for a future dental implant. Thirty adults aged 18-40 who need a tooth extraction and plan to get an implant will take part. Researchers will measure pain, swelling, and mouth opening to see if H-PRF makes a difference.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could improve bone healing after tooth extraction, making future dental implants more successful.
What could go wrong
