New supplement trial hopes to lift depression treatment

NCT ID NCT07416747

First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests whether a dietary supplement called GynMDD, taken alongside weekly talk therapy, can improve symptoms of mild to moderate depression more than therapy alone. About 168 adults aged 18 to 65 will take either the supplement or a placebo daily for 8 weeks and report their mood and digestive health. The goal is to see if the supplement provides extra relief and also affects gut bacteria.
