NCT ID NCT05934188

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at how bacteria in your gut might be linked to brain aging and diseases like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and multiple sclerosis. Researchers will compare 200 people—healthy young and older adults, plus those with early Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, or MS—using brain scans, stool samples, blood tests, and thinking skill assessments. The goal is to find early warning signs of disease by understanding the gut-brain connection.
