First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This small study looks at whether transferring healthy donor stool into the gut can change the bacteria of people with type 2 diabetes and stable coronary artery disease. Thirty adults will get the transplant via colonoscopy and be monitored for six months. The main goal is to see if the gut microbiome changes, not to prove a treatment works.
