Scientists investigate if your gut bacteria could make cancer treatment more effective

NCT ID NCT05112614

Summary

This study aims to understand how the bacteria in our digestive system (gut microbiome) influence how well cancer treatments work. Researchers will collect stool and blood samples from 3,000 cancer patients undergoing treatment or stem cell transplants. By analyzing these samples, they hope to find patterns that could help doctors personalize cancer therapy to be more effective with fewer side effects.
