Can a gut pill speed up recovery after a Life-Threatening hospital stay?
NCT ID NCT07295353
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily food supplement containing a specific pasteurized gut bacteria can help adults recover after being treated in an intensive care unit (ICU) for sepsis. Researchers want to see if the supplement is safe to take for 56 days and if it helps restore healthy gut bacteria. Participants will take either the supplement or a placebo pill daily and provide stool and blood samples to check for changes in their gut and immune system.
