Summary

This study looked at 61 adults with peripheral artery disease to see if their gum health was linked to levels of a substance called TMAO in their blood and saliva. Researchers compared people with healthy gums, gum disease, or no teeth. The goal was to understand if oral health might affect heart disease risk through TMAO.
