One-step gum graft may boost dental implant success

NCT ID NCT06645925

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Aug 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether doing a gum graft at the same time as placing a dental implant works as well as the traditional two-step approach. The goal is to increase the width of keratinized gum tissue around implants, which helps prevent inflammation and implant failure. Twenty-two adults missing lower back teeth with thin gums will be followed for one year.
