NCT ID NCT07203326

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests two types of donated human tissue grafts for treating gum recession. Twenty adults who need a gum graft will receive either a standard graft or a new micro-surfaced version. Researchers will compare how well the gum covers the tooth root, how the site heals, and how comfortable patients feel.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

donated human tissue graft (acellular dermal matrix)

What this could lead to

If successful, this could point toward a better option for treating gum recession with improved healing and comfort.

What could go wrong

This is a small pilot study with only 20 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The new graft may not perform better than the standard one.
