Scientists scan, swab, and survey to map mystery of gum graft healing

NCT ID NCT07386457

Summary

This study aims to better understand the normal healing process after a common gum graft surgery used to treat receding gums. Researchers will observe 15 patients by taking 3D scans of the graft area, measuring blood flow, collecting saliva samples, and having patients fill out questionnaires about their recovery. The surgery itself is not part of the study; this is purely an observational effort to learn more about how the tissue heals.
