Blood test could spare colon cancer patients from unnecessary chemo

NCT ID NCT06111105

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple blood test can find tiny bits of cancer DNA left after surgery for stage III colorectal cancer. The goal is to see if this test can help doctors decide who really needs extra chemotherapy and who can skip it. About 590 people will give blood samples at different times to compare different test methods. The study does not offer a new treatment but aims to improve how we personalize cancer care.
