Summary
This study tested a group program called Project Life Force (PLF) against standard individual suicide safety planning for 294 veterans at high risk for suicide. PLF is a 10-session group that teaches coping skills and emotional regulation to strengthen safety plans. Researchers tracked suicidal behaviors and depression over 12 months to see if the group approach works better.
