NCT ID NCT07738289
First seen Jul 31, 2026 · Last updated Jul 31, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a structured group therapy program can improve psychological resilience and family functioning in mothers who care for children with intellectual disabilities. Twenty mothers are randomly assigned to either the therapy group or a control group. The therapy involves seven weekly sessions led by a social worker, combining education, cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and relaxation. Researchers measure resilience and family functioning before, right after, and three months later, and also gather personal stories to understand the experience.
