Researchers investigate if COVID shots trigger thyroid disorder

NCT ID NCT07213141

Summary

This study aims to understand if there's a connection between COVID-19 vaccination and the development of Graves' disease, an autoimmune thyroid condition. Researchers are analyzing medical records of 161 patients who developed Graves' disease between March 2020 and October 2022. They're comparing cases that occurred after vaccination to typical cases to see if there are any differences in symptoms or treatment needs.
