First human trial of Ultra-Thin graphene brain sensors begins
NCT ID NCT06368310
Summary
This study is testing a new type of ultra-thin, flexible brain mapping electrode made from graphene material during brain tumor surgery. Researchers want to see if these new electrodes are safe to use and if they can record clearer brain signals than current devices. Ten patients having glioma tumor surgery will have the experimental electrodes tested alongside standard equipment during their operation.
