New gel injection aims to knock out gout flare pain fast

Summary
This study tests two different doses of a gel called Purified Cortrophin Gel to see how well it eases pain from sudden gout attacks. About 150 adults with gout will get one injection and be followed for a week. The goal is to find out if the gel can quickly reduce joint pain and swelling.
