First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a device called TroClose™ 1200, which is placed at the start of robotic surgery to help close the port site at the end. About 26 adults having robotic surgery will take part. The goal is to see if the device works safely and effectively for closing the incision.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

TroClose™ 1200 fascial closure device

What this could lead to

If successful, this device could make closing surgical ports faster and easier during robotic surgeries.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early feasibility study with only 26 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The device may not work as intended or could cause complications.
