This study tests whether eating goji berries five days a week for six months can lower the risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in people aged 65 to 95. Participants will eat 14 grams of goji berries or a fiber supplement and have their eye health, gut bacteria, and other markers measured. The goal is to see if this simple dietary change can protect the macula, the part of the eye responsible for sharp central vision.
