High-Tech goggles aim to spot brain injuries faster

NCT ID NCT03539848

Summary

This study tested whether a portable goggle system could reliably diagnose mild traumatic brain injuries (like concussions) in community medical settings like urgent care or emergency departments. Researchers enrolled 120 adults who had recently suffered a head impact, along with a comparison group with other minor injuries. The goal was to see if the goggles could provide a quick and accurate tool to help doctors identify these often hard-to-detect injuries.
