Summary

This study looked at how the brain chemical glutamate and its receptor mGluR5 are involved in major depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder. Researchers used MRI and PET scans along with cognitive tests to measure brain activity. The goal was to better understand these conditions, not to test a treatment. 180 adults aged 18–70 took part.
