New study aims to unlock secrets of blood sugar control using wearable tech
NCT ID NCT07288372
First seen Dec 17, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looks at how continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) compare to standard oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTTs) in understanding blood sugar control. About 225 adults aged 18-70 who are at risk for diabetes but not yet diagnosed will wear a CGM for 10-14 days and do two at-home meal tests, followed by a hospital OGTT. The goal is to see if CGM data can reliably predict diabetes risk and help improve early detection.
