Scientists probe Hormone's role in diabetes and fatty liver

NCT ID NCT05500586

Summary

This study aims to understand how the hormone glucagon works in the liver and how this process might be different in people with obesity, type 2 diabetes, or fatty liver disease. Researchers will measure how the body processes amino acids with and without glucagon in a small group of participants. The goal is to gather knowledge about the underlying biology of these conditions, not to test a new treatment.
