Do popular Weight-Loss drugs harm teen bones? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT06903923
Summary
This study aims to understand if a popular weight-loss medication (semaglutide) affects bone strength in teens and young adults with obesity. Researchers will follow 120 participants for two years, comparing those taking the medication to those managing weight through lifestyle changes. The goal is to see if the medication helps preserve bone health during weight loss, which is a critical time for building strong bones.
