First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether a diabetes drug called glibenclamide (glyburide) can safely reduce nerve pain in people with multiple sclerosis. Ten adults with MS and neuropathic pain will take the oral extended-release drug, and researchers will monitor safety, drug levels, and pain scores. The goal is to see if the drug is well-tolerated and worth studying further for pain relief.
