New drug could cut IV feeding days for bowel failure patients

Summary
This study tests a drug called glepaglutide in 90 adults with short bowel syndrome who need IV nutrition at least 3 days a week. The goal is to see if the drug can safely reduce the amount of IV support needed. Participants receive either the drug or a placebo twice weekly for several months, followed by an open-label safety period.
