NCT ID NCT03673644
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how vision loss from glaucoma affects the daily mobility of older adults. Researchers will give questionnaires to 88 people with glaucoma to measure how far they typically go from home and how they manage in dim light. The goal is to better understand the real-world impact of glaucoma on movement and independence.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help doctors understand how glaucoma limits daily mobility, leading to better support and interventions for older adults.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study with only 88 participants, so results may not apply to everyone with glaucoma. It measures questionnaires, not direct health outcomes.
