Phone app aims to ease the mental burden of glaucoma

NCT ID NCT06053307

Summary

This study tested a mobile app designed to help people with glaucoma manage the anxiety and depression that can come with their diagnosis. Researchers worked with 28 patients to develop and refine the app, which uses therapy techniques to teach coping skills. The goal was to see if the app was easy to use and acceptable to patients, paving the way for a larger study to see if it actually reduces distress.
