New device could catch colon cancers that stool tests miss
NCT ID NCT07623902
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a device called Gixam to see if it can find precancerous growths or colon cancer in people aged 45-84 who had a negative stool test (FIT). About 1,436 participants will use the Gixam device, take a home stool test, and then get a standard colonoscopy. The goal is to see if Gixam catches cancers that stool tests miss, improving early detection.
